I am mainly interested in computer vision and deep learning. My current research is related to multimodal data, video understanding, and deep neural networks. I am also broadly interested in data engineering and data science.

As of September 2020, I am with the Department of Informatics in the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Lisbon as an Invited Assistant Professor. I am also a member of the Management Committee of Cost Action “CA19134 - Distributed Knowledge Graphs”.

Previously, I was responsible for the undergrad Computer Graphics course at University Lusófona. Until 2020, I was a PhD Fellow in the Pattern Analysis and Computer Vision Lab at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT). My PhD (2016-2019) is with IIT and Università di Genova, advised by Vittorio Murino and working with Pietro Morerio. During this period I spent six months at Boston University’s IVC Lab, hosted by Stan Sclaroff.
